We hadden een zalige tijd bij Lonno Lodge in Watamu. Prachtige accommodatie. We hadden een ruime kamer mét een eigen dakterras; van waar we een fenomenaal uitzicht hadden.
De service in Lonno is van hoog niveau. Personeel super professioneel en vriendelijk.
Een groot zwembad met daarin veel plekken waar je lekker kunt relaxen. Het ontbijt was top.
Lonno is een echte aanrader. Voor ons zeker een plek om opnieuw te bezoeken.

Einfach Paradiesisch. Unser Aufenthalt in der Lonno Lodge ergab sich ganz spontan und war das Beste, was uns hätte am Ende unserer Kenia Reise passieren können. Nach einer Woche Safari wollten wir noch eine Woche am Strand entspannen und das war mehr als hervorragend in der Lonno Lodge möglich. Es ist ein kleines, privat geführtes, sehr stilvolles, detailverliebtes und sauberes Hotel, mit hohem Standard nicht nur bei der Unterkunft selbst, sondern auch bei dem extrem freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal und den Inhabern. Man kann sowohl an einem schönen, großen Pool entspannen als auch im Meer mit direktem hoteleigenen Zugang schnorcheln oder bei Ebbe durchs Meer spazieren und im türkisen Wasser baden. Kein Einheimischer, der einem einen Ausflug andrehen möchte. Einfach nur Ruhe und Entspannung. Wir hatten Halbpension und waren begeistert vom Essen. Alles frisch zubereitet und am Abend gab es täglich ein 4-Gänge-Menü mit frischem Fisch. Ausflüge wurden auf Wunsch geplant, Transporte mit TukTuk organisiert oder selbst durchgeführt und E Bikes konnte man sich auch kostenlos ausleihen. Am Abreisetag durften wir den ganzen Tag noch im Hotel und sogar im Zimmer verbringen, weil an dem Tag niemand eingecheckt hat. Anschließend wurden wir persönlich verabschiedet.
Also ein rundum toller Aufenthalt. Wir werden die Unterkunft sowohl Familie als auch Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Silvia made the stay. Her warmth turned this from a simple hotel stay into somewhere that felt like home. She helped us plan our activities, and every evening after dinner we'd end up chatting with her, which made the whole trip feel personal in a way I didn't expect from a hotel.

The food was also amazing. We'd originally planned to eat out for lunch and dinner, but after our first dinner there we signed up for half board instead. It's a true mix of European and African cuisine, and it was on point every single time. At dinner, the staff always remembered who wanted sparkling and who wanted still, and I never once had to ask for my glass to be topped up the entire stay.

The standards here are genuinely high, right down to the details. My sister needed something for a health issue that we couldn't find anywhere in the shops, and the team went out and found it for her.

The setting itself is stunning, modern comforts blended with authentic Kenyan style, right in a brilliant spot on the water. We booked during their 7 nights for 5 offer, and it was excellent value even before factoring in the food and service. If you want a beach stay in Watamu that's actually memorable, this is it!

Excellent. Starting from the construction, very particular in Arabic style, where every detail is not left to chance. Materials used for high quality construction, make you feel in a luxurious place. Many rooms have sea view. Large pool and cozy relaxation area. Present descent to the sea for a walk at low tide. Excellent cuisine, from breakfast to dinner, with a refined and always different menu. The restaurant is dedicated only to lodge guests, creating an intimate atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Last but not least, the two owners, Italian, very friendly and always available.

A huge thank you for these few wonderful days. I recommend the Lonno Lodge for the beauty of the site, its direct immersion in nature, the calm, and the unique atmosphere of this place, which came to magnify our African stay.
We were particularly touched by the quality of the welcome, the attention paid, and the great kindness of the owners. Their availability and their kindness made us feel immediately at home.
This stop was the perfect conclusion to our trip in Uganda and contributed to making this vacation a truly wonderful experience. We are leaving with magnificent memories and the desire to return one day.

We stayed at the Lonno Lodge from August 10 to 18 and it was a wonderful experience, which helped make our vacation in Watamu truly special.
The lodge is immersed in a beautiful, well-kept tropical garden and features a splendid pool with a view of the sea, where it is truly pleasant to spend a few hours in complete relaxation. The property, with very few rooms, maintains an intimate and private atmosphere that we particularly appreciated.
Our room was extremely spacious, furnished with great taste and characterized by beautiful African-style elements. The large outdoor patio was also very pleasant, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the place.
A special praise goes to Silvia and Aldo, the owners, who were always available, kind, and attentive. They gave us excellent advice on the best beaches in Watamu and took care of booking excursions and restaurants for our dinners for us, making everything very simple and pleasant. The entire large staff also proved to be always very attentive and professional, with a discreet but constant presence.
We also found the small chalkboard in the bar area with the daily tides to be truly original and useful: a small detail that allows you to best organize wonderful walks on the beach to the coral reef, when the tide allows it.
The lodge's cuisine is also very good, different every day and characterized by a pleasant mix of Italian influences and local products, with particular attention to fish. An additional plus is the property's electric tuk-tuk, very convenient for getting around the area.
What can I say? We had a wonderful vacation and, above all, we truly felt at home. This is exactly what, in addition to the beauty of the place, we will take with us from the Lonno Lodge.
A place that we recommend without hesitation and to which we would very gladly return.

From the moment Nelson greeted us at the airport to Sylvia’s incredible talent for connecting us with the perfect guides and experiences, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.

A special thank you to the amazing chefs, the wonderful waitstaff, our favorite bartender Raymond, and Kevin, Chris, Roger, and the entire team. You made us feel like family and filled every day with kindness, smiles, and genuine care.
