The Charming Lonno Lodge is one of those places — small, intimate, and lovingly designed to offer just a handful of guests the luxury of silence, space, and seclusion.

Our four rooms, cradled within the timeless walls of the Observation Tower, and our five suites, unfolding gracefully across two private floors, are sanctuaries of calm.

Whether you choose the cozy charm of a 42 sqm Deluxe Room or the generous embrace of a 133 sqm Family Suite, you will always be greeted by the same wonder: the endless horizon, the caress of the sea breeze, and the gentle hush of Watamu’s shores. Each room and suite offers its own character, differing mainly in size and bedding, while sharing thoughtful comforts such as:

Our Tower Rooms offer a range of options to suit your desires, from the cozy 42 sqm Deluxe Room to the expansive 72 sqm Top Tower Room, complete with a private and exclusive rooftop terrace. Whichever you choose, the magnificent ocean view and the gentle sea breeze are always just steps away, filling your room with a sense of peace and freedom.
Each room is thoughtfully designed for two guests and can also accommodate a baby cot, making it the perfect retreat for couples or small families seeking comfort, intimacy, and unforgettable views.

Deluxe Rooms

Three unique ways to enjoy the same beauty.
Our Deluxe Rooms are stacked one above the other in the historic stone tower, each offering its own distinct charm.
On the ground floor, a shaded terrace opens onto the tropical garden, just a few steps from the sea. There’s space to sit, stretch out, and breathe. Privacy? Absolute. With only nine rooms in the entire lodge, peace and quiet are never in short supply.
On the first floor, the terrace is just as spacious, but open to the sky—perfect for sun lovers who enjoy basking in the light with a good book between dips in the pool.
On the second floor, the balcony is more intimate, but the view is the best of all: a changing canvas of light and sea throughout the day. Sunset happens right in front of your eyes—but you’ll have to earn it, with one extra flight of stairs in the old tower.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, crisp linens, and the kind of stillness only the sea can offer.

A magical hideaway for two, this suite unfolds over multiple levels, ending in a panoramic turret perfect for sunset moments.
The climb is part of the experience — your reward: unmatched privacy, sea breeze, and time suspended above it all.

The Historical Suites

Spacious Suites for Your Perfect Getaway

Choose from elegant one-bedroom Suites or a spacious Family Suite with two bedrooms, ranging from 90 to 133 sqm. Each suite is independent and designed to make you feel at home, offering all the space you need to relax. A small indulgence for a well-deserved holiday.
Every suite includes a patio and terraces as standard, most with stunning ocean views—except for the GrandSuite, which offers a more private setting overlooking the lush tropical garden. Bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the first floor, while the cozy living room opens onto the natural garden at ground level, surrounded by the scent of frangipani. Our Suites can accommodate from 2 up to 5 guests, plus a baby cot if needed.

Junior Suite

Sea view, two floors. Intimate, cozy, one of a kind.
The Junior Suite is the smallest of our suites — but only in name. Like all our suites, it’s spread over two levels: a living area downstairs, and the bedroom with bathroom upstairs.
Though compact, it offers all the space and charm a couple could wish for — and as you’ll see in the photos, it has its own special personality. If needed, the sofa in the living room can be turned into a bed for a child.
What makes it truly special is its private terrace, small and cozy, with a little table just right for enjoying a coffee or a drink while watching the sea.
It features 1 double bed (upstairs bedroom) and a sofa bed for 1 child (on request)

Right by the sea, designed for families. Like all our suites, the Sea Front Suite is set over two floors.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious living room with two sofas that can be converted into beds for children.
Upstairs, the master bedroom and bathroom open onto a covered sea-view veranda, where a large sofa invites you to relax, read, or simply take in the ocean view.
An elegant yet practical retreat, perfect for families.

Set over two generous levels, it features a spacious living room on the ground floor and a bright master bedroom upstairs, both naturally cooled by the ocean breeze and high ceilings.
From the private veranda, enjoy lush garden views, birdsong in the morning, and the quiet magic of Watamu evenings.
There’s no air conditioning here — nature takes care of that.

Our Family Suite is designed for families who want comfort and space. Downstairs, a large and cozy living room is perfect for spending time together. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms and a shared bathroom.In the children’s room, a large bunk bed often sparks cheerful debates about who gets the top bunk.
The master bedroom features its own private covered veranda with sea view, ideal for reading, resting, or simply listening to the waves.
On the ground floor, the second covered veranda, connected to the living room, provides even more space to relax outdoors as a family.
It features 1 double bed (master bedroom) and bunk beds (2 single beds in kids’ room)
An additional bed can be arranged in the living room upon request.
